Animated a lyric video for my Soul-R&B song “Golden”, combining hand-crafted illustrations, subtle creature motion, glowing text effects, and layered background visuals to bring the song’s tonal landscape to life.

I created an animated lyric video for my song “Golden”, a Soul & R&B track exploring the emotional journey of moving on from a one-sided relationship.
I created the visual assets in Photoshop and Illustrator, then animated the video in After Effects—using mesh-style animation for subtle wing movement of the firefly-inspired creature and dynamic text effects to make the lyrics glow and fade across the screen. A slow-moving background adapted from the original illustration and an overlaid flowing particle video added depth and motion.
The video was finalized with editing and color correction in Premiere Pro, and the opening text—featuring the song title and artist name—was designed in Photoshop to match the video’s aesthetic.
